February 1, 2025 – NECCDC Competition
With just a few weeks to prepare, our team competed in the Northeast Collegiate Cyber Defense Competition (NECCDC) and placed 11th out of 18 teams, coming close to regional qualification! While we narrowly missed the top 10, this achievement highlights their dedication, teamwork, and rapid preparation. Great job to everyone who participated!
April, 2024 – Andrew Waag (Information Technology)
Recipient of the Dean’s Award for Academic Excellence in the School of Architecture, Management & Engineering Technology at the 40th annual Honors Convocation.
September, 2022 – Brian Kelly (Application Software Development, ’19 | Computer Information Systems, ’17)
Founder of Kelly Design and Development, LLC, awarded a $3,100 business development grant from the City of Olean’s Boost Business Grant Program to expand services and create local job opportunities. Kelly’s company, established in 2021, provides web development, digital media content creation, software development, and technical consulting. "My education at Alfred State has been the bedrock by which I was able to hone my skills and develop my business."
